MS Dhoni’s voice from behind the stumps has become iconic for the two things. His insights and analysis of the ongoing game and his banter with the bowlers. On Sunday, the fans once again witnessed the two shades of the former Indian captain, while he was playing in the Indian Premier League 2021 match.

As Chennai Super Kings were defending the total of 191 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers were at the crease at a given point of time while Ravindra Jadeja was bowling. The left-arm spinner was getting continuous tips and insights from behind the stumps from his captain.

Jadeja was finally successful in dismissing both the batsmen. He castled the power-hitters as RCB slipped into trouble. As De Villiers was dismissed and Harshal Patel walked out to bat, Dhoni made a cheeky comment from the back which was caught on the stump mic. The video of the incident was shared on Twitter by a fan.

Commentators and Suresh Raina laughs as MS Dhoni gives a smile

As Patel walked to the crease, Dhoni said that he won’t be able to share information and tips now to Jadeja in Hindi as the batsman would understand. When Maxwell and ABD were batting, Dhoni could easily communicate his thoughts in Hindi, as the two players won’t understand it.

Ab Hindi me nahi bol sakta hun,” [Now I can’t talk to you in Hindi!] said, MS Dhoni. Suresh Raina standing in the slip cordon started laughing and so did the commentators on air.

Chennai Super Kings won their fourth match of this season when they defeated RCB in Mumbai on Sunday by 69 runs. CSK made 191, on the back of Ravindra Jadeja’s brilliant 28-ball 62. CSK made 37 runs from the last over, when Jadeja went completely berserk.

With the ball as well, he picked up three wickets by giving only 13 runs in his four overs. The all-rounder also got rid of Dan Christian with an incredible direct hit and a run-out. This was in fact CSK’s fourth straight win and has now allowed them to take the first position on the points table.
