How much do cricketers earn from their bat endorsement deals

Endorsements are a huge part of sportspersons in their career as it garners a huge amount of money for them. The more the successful one is, the more one earns in the endorsement deals. The best example of this saying is Virat Kohli who owns the advertising industry currently only because of the way he has played in his career so far. Similarly, the stickers on the bats of the cricketers is a deal between the company and the player which helps them garner a lot of money. MRF used to be famous in the 1990s only because of the craze of Sachin Tendulkar as he used to endorse the brand on his bat.

Nowadays, Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, is the brand ambassador of the same brand and uses it while batting. He is a most marketable cricketer on the planet currently and no wonder the tyre giant company shelled out a sum of three figures in crores for his signatures. MRF has signed Kohli for a period of eight years and has paid him a whopping amount of Rs 100 crores. After signing the deal the dashing right-handed batsman became the first cricketer ever enter the 100 crore club as far as the endorsements are concerned.

What about Dhoni and Gayle?

The greatest finisher in World cricket, MS Dhoni, has created history with some memorable knocks with a sticker of Spartan Sports on his willow. The brand value of the master behind the stumps has not dropped a bit despite his hitting skills on the wane. He is also in the twilight of his illustrious career but still is the most loved cricketer in the cricket-crazy country. However, the Aussie based sports apparel brand pays a whopping amount Rs 6 crore per year. Also, the Universe Boss Chris Gayle earns Rs 3 crore a year from the same brand as he also endorses them.

Rohit Sharma, the owner of the three ODI double hundreds, endorses CEAT, one of the leading tyre manufacturers in the world. They pay Rs 3 crore per year to the vice-captain of the Indian team and given the number of runs the Hitman has scored this year, CEAT has surely stolen the deal. England skipper Joe Root uses popular New Balance TC 1260 collection bat while scoring loads of runs in international runs. He is being paid an amount of Rs 1.7 crore from New Balance for endorsing them at the highest level.

The amounts are surely huge but the players deserve it to the fullest as they have worked extremely hard to be what they are today in their careers.
