I am of course missing him: Kuldeep Yadav feels MS Dhoni should make a comeback to play for Team India
MS Dhoni was all set to play for CSK in IPL 2020.
MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper played his last international game back in 2019 World Cup against New Zealand in the semi-finals. After that, he went on a longer than an expected sabbatical. Earlier in March, he was all set to play for CSK in IPL 2020 but BCCI had to postpone the tournament for an indefinite period due to COVID-19 outbreak.
Now, the chances of his comeback in Team India are quite slim as he has not played a single competitive game for 10 months. But, Kuldeep Yadav, the Indian chinamen bowler opened up saying he wants him to play again for the Men in Blue as he is missing his presence.
The 38-year-old is rated as one of the finest skippers in the history of international cricket. He is the only captain to win T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy. Dhoni is undoubtedly a gem for Team India but he undoubtedly is at the fag end of his cricketing career.
Kuldeep Yadav feels Dhoni should don the national jersey again
In a recent interaction, Kuldeep Yadav said that he is missing the presence of MS Dhoni in Team India. He added that it is common for a junior player like him to feel the absence of such a generous and great player on the side. As per him, there is no point for anyone to debate on the former skipper’s retirement. It is always going to be Dhoni’s call and everything should be left to him.
The 25-year-old recited the fact that at the age of 38, Dhoni is still very fit. According to him, he should once again play for Team India in the future. Kuldeep feels that his presence in the side makes it easier for everyone to win crucial games.
“I am of course missing MS Dhoni. Whenever you play with a senior player, you become fond of them and start missing them and their presence. As far as his retirement is concerned, it is MS Dhoni’s decision and it should be left to him. There is no point for us to debate on that. He is very fit and I personally feel he should play for India. As a fan, I absolutely love him. If he plays, it would be easier for us [India],” Kuldeep Yadav told Sportskeeda.
