Pakistan fans looked happy after international cricket returned to their nation. The hosts got a great start as they won the ODI series against Sri Lanka but the smiles of fans didn’t last very long as their team lost the T20I series against a team that is currently ranked at 8th position in the table.

Yesterday, Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the 2nd T20I by 35 runs. During the 2nd match of the series, the Pakistan bowlers looked pretty ordinary that led the 2nd string team of islanders to post a big total of 182 runs which never looked achievable for the green flag nation.

After Sarfaraz Ahmed and Co. lost their first-ever T20I series against Island nation, they have pretty much attracted the criticism of their fans and former cricketers. Now, former Pakistan star pacer has come down with a piece of advice for the bowlers of his own nation.

Former pacer advices his nation players

Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar was speaking in a video of his Youtube channel and has urged that his players to take some lessons from Indian bowlers who in tough times seek lessons from the greats that his nation has produced by getting in touch with the former players which is not done by the players of Pakistan.

“I feel very sad that Indian fast bowlers keep calling us to take tips and seek advice but our Pakistani pacers don’t ask. Nobody from the team has ever called me up to seek tips on how to increase your pace, arm-speed, run-up, etc. Nobody is ready to ask,” former pacer said.

Shoaib also feels that Naseem Shah, Musa Khan, and Haris Rauf have the ability to become the best bowlers in the world but they need to come in contact with the former players, “Newcomers like Naseem Shah, Musa Khan, and Haris Rauf… they can become the fastest bowlers in the world. I really wish they would come to me for advice. I want to make them tearaway fast bowlers so that they can make their own name in international cricket,” he added.

Rawalpindi Express was one of the quickest bowlers of his time and his toe breaking yorkers and jawbreaking bouncers had always been the biggest headache for the batsmen of his time. In his decade long career, he took 444 wickets across all formats for Pakistan.
