'I know there is a lot of noise outside but it doesn't affect me' - Jasprit Bumrah after registering best figures of IPL 2022
Bumrah picked a five-for against KKR to bag the player of the match award.
The last match of IPL 2022 saw under fire Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians locking horns with each other where Shreyas Iyer and his men returned victorious by a massive margin of 52 runs. However, even being on the losing end, if there was one player who owned the night completely, it was none other than sensational Jasprit Bumrah.
Bumrah roared back to the form with a classy five-for while giving away only 10 runs to register the best bowling figures of IPL 2022. The classy pacer opened up after MI’s loss to KKR and added how they prepare for the tournament and don’t look at end results. Due to MI pacer’s carnage, he was named as player of the match and became the only second player after Umran Malik in this season to receive the honor while being on the losing end.
“Look we prepare for the tournament and we have our process, we don’t look at the end result. If you understand the game, you have to really observe what’s going on, what is the game like, what situation you are bowling like, and for me personally, I was very happy with the rhythm going on throughout the tournament,” said Bumrah in the post-match press conference.
I am not a person who judges my performance on what others think: Jasprit Bumrah
Moving further, Bumrah added that he knows that there is a lot of noise outside but it really doesn’t affect him because he doesn’t measure his performance by what critics have to offer on him. MI remained stuck to the last place on the points table after their 9th loss of the season while KKR moved to the seventh place after getting their 5th victory.
“I know there is a lot of noise outside that goes on but it doesn’t really affect me. Because I am not a person who judges my performance on what others think or what the experts are saying or whatever people want to say,” he added.
