Most successful captain to lead the Indian side MS Dhoni has bid adieu to the international cricket career on 15th August. Known for his calm and silent ways to lead his life, the skipper announced his retirement in a simple Instagram post that created a huge buzz in the entire world. The news went viral in no time and people were left completely shattered.

Ever since he took the step, the giants in cricket fraternity as well as others can’t stop sharing their experience with him. While fans flooded his post with comments, teammates started sharing their fondest memory with the captain cool on their social media handles. Every wish and post is special in its own way, but there are some things that always stand out and here it is.

Dhoni who has the credit for bringing several laurels in the cricket world also has the utmost passion and love for the Indian Army. The Ranchi hero holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Army and therefore, a video shared by BCCI shows Ravi Shastri saluting MS for his unmatchable contribution to Indian cricket and having an accolade of possessing this Army rank.

“An Independence Day sunset ending with a glittering career. One of the true ‘Baadshahs’ of the sport. What amazes me about MS was his calmness and his composure and handling extreme pressure and criticism. As a leader and captain, he can sit on Mount Everest with those kind of achievements.

“Multiple World Cups, Champions Trophy, number one Test team in the world, IPL titles, Champions League, you name it and he has got it. I wish Sakshi, Ziva, MS himself, and his family all the mental peace and happiness in his retirement. Do continue to enthrall us during the IPL MS. I salute you Lieutenant colonel MS Dhoni,” said Shastri

 

Soon after CSK skipper talked about his retirement, his on and off-field friend Suresh Raina joined him in his journey. Both are training in Chennai for the most-awaited IPL coming up next month from UAE.
