However, the pacer still misses the presence of his father and hopes of seeing him one more time.

On his father’s 4th death anniversary, Shami took to his official Twitter handle to pay homage. As a tribute to his late father, Shami penned an emotional note that left many teary-eyed. The right-arm seamer also shared a heartwarming picture featuring him and his father while the latter was admitted to a hospital.

Mohammed Shami ruled out of the first two Tests against England

Mohammed Shami has been away from the cricket field for over a month now. After featuring in the three-match One Day International series against Australia, Shami was included in the playing XI of the first Test of the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy at Adelaide Oval alongside pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav.

However, while batting against Pat Cummins, Shami suffered a fracture on his bowling arm and was advised bed rest for about 6 weeks. This resulted in Shami getting ruled out of the prestigious Test series and Mohammed Siraj replacing the right-arm quick in the second game as India went on to script history in Australia by winning the Test series by 2-1.

Meanwhile, due to his injury Mohammed Shami has also been excluded from the first two Test matches of the four-match Test series against England, starting from February 5 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
