'ICC got no chill' - Twitter trolls ICC for sharing a picture of Nathan Lyon wearing underwear featuring himself
The official Twitter handle of ICC sharing such pictures of cricketers didn't go well with many cricket fans as they brutally trolled the apex body.
Australia’s legendary right-arm off-break bowler Nathan Lyon is deemed as one of the greatest spinners Australia has ever produced after the spin wizard Shane Warne. The spinner is absolutely sensational in the purest format of the game with 394 Test wickets to his name from 98 matches at an average of 31.6 and an economy rate of 3.
Additionally, he also has 18 five-wicket hauls and 16 four-wicket hauls in the longest format of the game. Apart from weaving magic with the ball, Lyon is a capable lower-order batsman who can survive against the opposition bowlers on the pitch when required. Lyon boasts of having 1,064 runs under his belt at an average of 12.22.
The legendary spinner is currently involved in the highly-anticipated four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy against India. The bowler is yet to showcase his full potential in the Test series as in the three innings he could pick only four wickets. However, Lyon has managed to put a brake on the runs as he has bowled parsimonious spells to the Indian batters thus far.
ICC creates a stir on social media by sharing a picture of Nathan Lyon
Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon has again grabbed all the limelight, however, this time his performance on the pitch isn’t the reason behind the same. A few pictures of the off-spinner are floating on social media where he can be seen sporting underwear which has his picture in his trademark pose of appealing for a wicket in the front. This creative idea by the 33-year-old left the Twitterati in splits and they came up with hilarious memes and trolls.
However, this incident became more viral when the official Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared this epic picture of the spinner, Nathan Lyon, with the caption, “Gazza takes appealing to a whole new level.”
