Rohit Sharma kept going from the very first ball as he scored a 92-ball 104 which set the platform for 314/9 despite the poor finish. 23y 299d – At the age of 23 years and 299 days, Mustafizur Rahman became the 6th youngest player and the youngest left-arm bowler to bag a 5-wicket haul in World Cup. The previous youngest left-arm bowler with a CWC 5-fer was Ashish Nehra at 23y 303d during the 2003 edition against England.

Bangladesh and conceding 300:

5 – Bangladesh has conceded 300+ runs for the 5th time in this tournament; the most number of times by any team in a single edition of World Cup. Namibia in 2003 and Windies in 2007 conceded four 300+ totals each.

Overall, Bangladesh is only the 2nd side to concede 300+ on five instances in an ODI series/tournament. India was on the receiving end of the same fate during their home ODI series against Australia in 2013.
