Virat Kohli spotted joining his teammates in video posted by RCB

Ever since Virat Kohli was ruled out of the final Test vs Australia at Dharamsala, IPL fans were eager to know whether the Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper would be fit to play the 8-teams league or not. After all the hullabaloo about his injury, the 28-year old has finally reached Bengaluru to join the United Spirits-owned franchise.

In a post on their Instagram account, RCB shared a video in which Virat Kohli is seen arriving at the hotel and meeting Chris Gayle along with others.

Royal Challengers Bangalore play Sunrisers Hyderabad in the opening match of IPL 10. RCB had lost to SRH in the final of the last season.

In Kohli’s absence, it was announced that South African power hitter AB de Villiers will lead the side. But now with the uncertainty of de Villiers playing the tournament, one can expect Shane Watson or Chris Gayle to take up the job of captaincy.  RCB suffered another blow when KL Rahul was ruled out due to a shoulder injury which needed surgery.

Earlier, the Indian skipper who won 10 out of the 13 Tests this home season, posted a video where he informed fans that his rehab was going well and that he was training hard to take back to the field. He thanked his fans for showing ‘concern’ and informed he would be back soon.

“You know that’s one reason why I love dogs. I am trying to get back, train hard and this guy just comes and sits with me and he’s watching me train.

“My rehab’s going well. Training hard to get back onto the field, can’t wait. A big shout out to the fans, just wanna say that I’ll be back soon and in the meantime please keep supporting RCB and make sure we have a good start,” Kohli said.
