IND vs NZ: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly to ring the bell at Eden Gardens ahead of third T20I
Sourav Ganguly played his last international match for the Indian side in the year 2008.
The 3rd T20I between India and New Zealand will be held at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on 21st November 2021. And, ahead of this match, the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly will ring the bell to signal the start of the 3rd T20I between the two sides.
India are currently leading the three-match series 1-0. In the first T20I, Rohit Sharma and his men produced a complete performance to down their opponents. The Kiwis finished with a total of 164/6 in their 20-over quota.
And, the Indian side romped past the finish line with 5 wickets and 2 deliveries to spare. Suryakumar Yadav scored a magnificent 62 with the willow to steer India to victory.

Coming to Sourav Ganguly, the current BCCI President and former Indian captain is one of the all-time greats of Indian cricket. In a stellar international career that spanned 16 years, the ‘Prince of Kolkata’ represented India in 113 Tests and 311 ODIs. ‘
While Ganguly plundered 7212 runs in Test match cricket, the batting legend scored a colossal 11363 runs in the ODI format of the game. He struck a total of 38 centuries in international cricket. With the ball, the right arm pacer has scalped 32 wickets in the whites, and 100 scalps in ODI cricket.
Ganguly was also a leader par excellence, and led India to the NatWest Series title in the year 2002, and also to the final of the 2003 ODI World Cup as well. Ganguly played his last international match for the Indian side in the year 2008. After his retirement, the cricket legend transitioned to the commentary box, after which he has entered cricket administration, and is currently serving as the President of the BCCI.
