After the retirement of Virender Sehwag from International Cricket in 2015, India have seriously missed his explosive batting talent, and have still not come up with a successor.

When it comes to explosive and fiery batting, Sehwag is India’s shining star in all formats of the game. Whether he is playing Tests, ODIs, or T20s, he has always played his game with the same mentality and destructiveness. The format of the game hardly had any effect on him, as he virtually ignored to follow the conditions and circumstances, presenting a new way of perception of Test Cricket to fans.

Coming to open for India, he was a nemesis for the opponent’s bowlers, his name spelling doom for them whenever he got going. In his career, he has produced some of the most entertaining innings that the Cricketing World has ever witnessed. And after his departure from the Indian team, a successor possessing his skill set is yet to be found, let alone replace.

But, after witnessing Delhi lad Mayank Rawat’s blistering innings of 279 runs off just 77 balls, it is being said that India may well have come across a player having similar talents. The youngster playing in Radhakishan Sanjay inter-school tournament literally tore off the opponent Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s bowling attack, as the rivals had no answer to Rawat’s batting prowess.

In his 77 ball innings, he hit a massive 34 sixes and 14 fours, helping his team Atishi Bal Bhavan School Dwarka to a mammoth total of 350 runs in 20 overs. After facing such a tormenting innings, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan crumbled under the pressure of such a huge total, being bowled out for 142 in 19.2 overs, thus losing the match by a huge margin of 208 runs.
