5 – Number of times Tim Southee has dismissed Rohit Sharma in ODI cricket. Only Angelo Mathews dismissed Rohit Sharma more often in ODIs. Rohit scored 76 runs in 118 against Southee at an average of 15.2.
13 – This was the 13th time where Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten in a successful run-chase in ODI cricket. He scored the winning runs six times so far including boundaries on three occasions.
27 – Runs New Zealand added before losing their 3rd wicket. These are the fewest runs scored by any team before losing their 3rd wicket in an ODI in the last ten years against India in India. Sri Lanka lost three wickets for just six runs in Margao in February 2007.
42 – Henry Nicholls’ 42 is the highest lowest score for a team batting first in an ODI in India in the last four years. England had a highest individual score of 39 in the 2013 Ranchi ODI while batting first.
230/9 – New Zealand’s 230/9 is the lowest ODI total for any team against India in India after batting full 50 overs since the start of 2012. Windies posted 211/9 in their 50 overs in the Cuttack ODI in 2011.
1045 – Runs Shikhar Dhawan scored in ODIs in India. He is the 33rd player and the 23rd Indian to aggregate 1000 ODI runs in India. Dhawan has played 25 matches in India and has scored three centuries and seven fifties.
1991 – Runs Virat Kohli scored in International cricket in 2017. These are the most for any player in this year. He went past Hashim Amla’s tally of 1985 during this match.
2013 – Shikhar Dhawan’s 68 is the highest score in this match. The last time an ODI in India had the highest score less than 68 was back in 2013 in the India-Pakistan ODI at Delhi where the highest individual score was only 39.
2014 – The last instance of a specialist fast bowler winning the man of the match award for India in a home ODI was Mohammed Shami in 2014 against Windies in Delhi. Bhuvneshwar Kumar awarded the match award for his figures of 10-0-45-3.
