India vs England, 2021 – 1st ODI Stats Preview: Virat Kohli eyes big records, Rohit to go past Sehwag

India recently defeated the visiting English side in the five-match T20I series. They earlier won the Test series as well. Both teams will now clash in the three-match ODI series starting 23rd march to be played at MCA stadium in Pune. The hosts will be playing a nearly full-strength squad as far as the batting department is concerned.

If he scores 193 runs in his next 4 innings, he will become the quickest Indian to complete 1000 ODI runs going past the joint record of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan (24 innings).

Chahal nearing 100 ODI wickets

8 – Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up 92 wickets in 53 ODIs so far. He needs 8 more wickets to achieve the landmark of 100 ODI wickets, and become the ninth Indian spinner to do so.
