The much-anticipated series between India and England is all set to get underway in Chennai. India are hosting England for full-fledged series comprising of Tests, T20Is and ODIs. The Test series will kickstart the proceedings from February 5 in Chennai. The first two Tests will be held in Chennai before both the teams move to Ahmedabad for the next two Tests.

After the conclusion of the Test series, both the teams will lock horns in five T20Is. It will be followed by three ODIs. The hosts will start as favourites especially in Tests. India have not lost a Test series at home since 2012. Incidentally, their last series defeat in Tests at home came against England. The Virat Kohli-led side will be brimming with confidence after the monumental win in Australia last month.

At the same time, India would be looking to guard against complacency against a team that is more than capable of springing a surprise or two. With the likes of Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, James Anderson in their ranks, England could very well upset India.

The visitors will have their confidence high too after the thumping win in the Test series in Sri Lanka last month. With both the teams in good form at the moment, a cracking series is on the cards. There is absolutely no denying that the cricketing fraternity is eagerly waiting for the series to start.
