India vs New Zealand Kotla ODI to be postponed
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to postpone the second ODI between India and New Zealand at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi by a day.
As per the reports on Thursday (September 8), CK Khanna has confirmed that the change in date is due to a festival celebrated with pomp and show in the northern parts of India named ‘Karva Chauth’.
The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) had earlier requested to the BCCI citing that it would affect the ticket sale on the day. As per reports in the PTI, the board has accepted the request and postponed the match by a day, from October 19 to October 20.
“We are thankful to BCCI for accepting our request of shifting the date by a day. I have received a letter of acknowledgement for the same from BCCI office,” Khanna, DDCA vice-president, was quoted as saying by PTI.
