After losing the first two T20Is, India bounced back brilliantly to defeat South Africa by 48 runs in the third match in Visakhapatnam. Half-centuries from Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad along with some great bowling displays from Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal helped the Men in Blue in staying alive in the series. The fourth and the penultimate game takes place on June 17 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

Gaikwad finally struck form in T20 Internationals as he registered his maiden fifty in the last encounter. Kishan’s solid run continued while Hardik Pandya provided the late flourish to take India’s total to 179/5. In the run-chase, the Proteas kept losing wickets at regular intervals as Harshal and Chahal snared seven scalps between them to bundle out the visitors for just 131 in 19.1 overs.

Quinton de Kock, who has missed the last two clashes due to a hand injury, may return to the side in place of Reeza Hendricks if he is fit. The hosts may go with the winning combination in another do-or-die encounter, which means Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh would have to wait for their debut. If India decide to include one of them, then Avesh Khan might have to go out as the pacer has gone wicketless in all the three T20Is so far. Rishabh Pant and his side will look to level the series 2-2 before moving on to Bengaluru for the final one.
