Indian cricketers and their salaries 2017
It is common knowledge that the Indian cricketers rake up the moolah.
Grade C
17. Shikhar Dhawan- Rs 50 lakhs
Left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan has been demoted to Grade C contract. But due to the revamp of the contract structure, he still fetches the same amount. Dhawan has been in great form since the Champions Trophy in England earlier this year and has continued to perform on a consistent basis. The 31-year-old has played 3 Test matches this year and scored over 350 runs at an average of 89.50. In ODIs, the southpaw has piled up 701 runs at a healthy average of 46.73.
18. Ambati Rayudu- Rs 50 lakhs
32-year-old Ambati Rayudu last represented India during the series against Zimbabwe in 2016. So far Rayudu has played 40 international games in limited-overs cricket but is currently off the hook. He still manages to hold a Grade C contract and that will give him much-needed motivation to be ready for a call up whenever the opportunity arises.
19. Amit Mishra- Rs 50 lakhs
Leg-spinner Amit Mishra hasn’t got a lot of opportunities in recent times. He was last seen in Indian colours during the T20I series against England and has missed out since then. Mishra has done well in the limited opportunities that he has got so far. And he will be eager to get back into the side and cement his place for good.
