Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the prime performer for the Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. He won the Purple Cap for the second time in a row. With the kind of performances that he put in, he has certainly given a strong statement for his claim in the playing eleven of team India in the Champions Trophy.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned with 26 wickets to his name in the 14 matches that he played. He bowled with an average of 14.19 and a strike rate of 12.07. Also, his economy rate was as low as 7.05 this season. Bhuvi had the best figures of 5/19 this season.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah has arguably the most impressive young bowler in the Indian team for quite some time now. In the IPL, he was at his peak best with some superlative display of pace bowling. In the tied game against the Gujarat Lions, Bumrah had managed to defend 11 in the Super Over against the likes of Aaron Finch and Brendon McCullum.

He had a key role to play in the finals of the tournament as well. Bumrah finished as the third leading wicket taker of the season with 20 wickets to his name in 16 matches. He averaged 22.20 with the ball and bowled with an economy of 7.35. He had a phenomenal strike rate of 18.10.

Dinesh Karthik

Gujarat Lions wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik was rewarded for his good show in the recent times with the national call up. Karthik was named as the replacement for Manish Pandey in the Champions Trophy squad after the latter was ruled out due to an injury.

Karthik had a decent time with the bat this season. He managed to give good finishes to the Lions and often forged big stands with Suresh Raina in the middle order. In the 14 matches that he played, he scored 361 runs at an average of around 36 with 2 fifties to his name and a strike rate of almost 140.
