It’s almost a year since Krunal Pandya made his debut for India in T20Is and has already made an impact. He was the Player of the Tournament in the series in the West Indies that India won 3-0 with victories in Lauderhill and Guyana. There he delivered in all the departments and scripted the triumphs for his team.

Krunal didn’t have a great time though in the two games versus the Proteas. The Gujarat-born couldn’t get a wicket and also perished cheaply in the only time he batted. Nevertheless, Krunal was among the wickets for Baroda in the VHT trophy where he dismissed eight batsmen in three matches.

The 28-year-old is being seen as a prime all-rounder in the World Cup. In 16 T20Is in national colours, Pandya has 106 runs at 21.20 and 14 wickets with an economy of 8.10.
