[Watch] IPL 2025: Virat Kohli involved in sharp exchange of words with Harpreet Brar
RCB ended up prevailing over PBKS by a seven-wicket margin.
Virat Kohli and Harpreet Brar were involved in a fiery exchange of words during the recently-concluded game between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 20. RCB ended up claiming a seven-wicket win at the end.
The two were snapped in a passionate on-field incident near the non-striker's end where Kohli could be heard telling the left-arm spinner that he's been playing since around two decades now, and the fact that he even knew who Brar's coach was.

Brar has maintained a strong record against RCB over the years. One of his most notable performances came in 2021 when Brar delivered an excellent all-round outing (25* off 17 and 3/19 in four overs) to pave the way for a 34-run victory.
Speaking of Match 37 of IPL 2025, the Rajat Patidar-led side were successful in chasing down the target of 158. Kohli's 73* (54) made him the deserved owner of the Player of the Match accolade. It was also his 67th fifty-plus score in the IPL. With that knock, he broke David Warner's long-standing record.
Brar came in as the Impact Player for PBKS. He had a field day with the ball, conceding only 27 runs in his four-over spell. He was also successful in dismissing the opposition's Impact Player, Devdutt Padikkal. The southpaw forged together a match-defining 103-run partnership for the second wicket to lay a solid platform for the rest of the batters to follow.
RCB's recent win against PBKS came after a five-wicket loss in the reverse fixture at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 18. The contest was shortened to a 14-overs-a-side clash which saw PBKS chase the 96-run target set by the hosts in 12.1 overs.
