He was the second fastest player to reach 6000 runs in this format with first been Chris Gayle.

McCullum also completed 2000 runs in Twenty20 on Indian soil.

–> CSK recorded the 3rd worst and their 2nd Worst Powerplay score in IPL with 16/1.

Worst 6-over powerplay scores are 14/2 by RR v RCB in 2009 and 15/2 by CSK v KKR in 2011.

This was also the worst powerplay score in this IPL season. Previous worst been 17/3 by MI v KXIP.

–> Zaheer Khan dismissed MS Dhoni for the seventh time in the Twenty20 format, which is more often a bowler dismissed a batsman in this format.

–> Zaheer Khan delivered 19 dots during his 4 overs spell, stand only behind Munaf Patel who bowled 20 dots for RR vs KKR in 2009.

19 dot balls was the highest for any bowler against CSK in IPL.

–> Shreyas Iyer scored his 4th fifty in IPL, all coming before an age of 21. Record of most fifties in IPL before age of 21 is equally on the name of Sanju Samson and next on the list with 3 fifties is Saurabh Tiwary.

–> Shreyas Iyer scored 419 runs in this IPL season, equally the most for an uncapped player in a single IPL season.

Saurabh Tiwary equaled on 419 with Iyer, whereas Mandeep Singh with 432 runs and Paul Valthaty with 463 runs stand ahead of Iyer.

–> Zaheer Khan picked up his first man of the match award in IPL while playing in his 76th game of the IPL career.

–> Delhi Daredevils recorded their 5th win against CSK in 16 encounters, in which they lost 11 games.
