IPL 2016: Fantasy Championship guide SRH v RCB
Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Transfer out: QDK, Shakib Al Hasan, Rohit Sharma, Dwayne Bravo, Suryakumar Yadav
Transfer in: Virat Kohli, ABD, Shane Watson, David Warner, Yuzi Chahal
While the Sunrisers depend on their bowling to win them games (with a little help from Warner as well), The Royal Challengers do not have a very sound bowling attack and heavily depend on the ABD-Kohli tandem to get them home.
Chris Jordan has been roped in and he would certainly provide the required oomph to their death bowling but he won’t be available for this game. Chris Gayle is back though, and he will have to start firing if RCB want to seal that top 4 spot.
From the Bangalore side I bring in Kohli and ABD and I don’t think there is any justification required for their selection. Ever since ABD has been pushed up to number 3, his ‘point providing potential ’ has shot up considerably. Also, Virat Kohli is in the form of his life and it would take something special to uproot him.
The next player that I bring in is David Warner. The last time RCB played SRH, David Warner completely demolished the inexperienced RCB bowling line up and I expect him to do something similar this time round as well.
Now, the conundrum is to whether bring in Watson or not? If he opens the batting and there is a clear-cut evidence of that at the toss by Kohli, I get him in no matter what happens at the toss. But if it doesn’t seem that he is going to open the batting and RCB bat second, I would leave him out.
I expect Yuzvendra Chahal to play today and he will be my first choice for an uncapped player pick as the Hyderabad surface has assisted spin bowling.
Batting Captain: AB de Villiers (if RCB bat first)/ Virat Kohli(if RCB bat second)
Bowling captain: Shane Watson (if I bring him in)/ Yuzvendra Chahal (if Watson is left out)
