MS Dhoni is one of the most celebrated cricketers across the globe. He has expertly shouldered the mantle of leadership and has emerged as one of the greats of the game. He was grabbed for a whopping $ 1.5 million by Chennai Super Kings in 2008.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand-born cricketer attracted the highest bid in the inaugural season. Dhoni led India to their second 50-overs World Cup title in 2011 and in the same year won the Indian Premier League for the CSK. The team also raced to a couple of Champion League T20 titles on the back of Dhoni’s stupendous captaincy skills.

In 2016 and 2017, he represented the Rising Pune Supergiants and churned out some match-winning knocks for them. Going into the next season Chennai will be looking to have another fruitful season with MSD at the helm.
