IPL 2018: David Warner wishes SRH all the luck ahead of the crucial clash
The winner of this game will set the finals date against CSK on Sunday.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are all set to lock horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Eden Gardens on Friday. It will be a knockout clash between the two teams as the winner will travel back to Mumbai to play the final against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). While Kane Williamson and his Men would be itching to put up a better performance in this game, the home side has the winning momentum with them. However, David Warner has wished all the luck to his side ahead of the crucial clash and is hoping that they will reach the final.
The Sunrisers were at the top of the points table after league stage and faced CSK in the first qualifier. After posting the fighting total of 139 runs on the board, their bowlers took wickets at the regular intervals to keep their opponents at bay. But Faf du Plessis batted like a champion and won the game for his side after they were left weeling at 92/7 at one stage. Hyderabad crumbled under the pressure as the stroke of luck also didn’t go their way and now face a must-win game in order to reach the final of the tournament.
Warner wishes
Warner has been following the Indian Premier League (IPL) closely after he was not allowed by the BCCI to participate in the league following his involvement in the infamous ball-tampering scandal. He took to Twitter to wish the Orange Army and looked confident about his team coming out on top in this game. “Good luck to @SunRisers tonight. Do Hyderabad proud gentleman,” his message for the team read.
He had come up with a message for them ahead of the first qualifier as well which Kane Williamson and his men lost very closely in the last over. Nevertheless, the perks of finishing in the top two of the points tabel meant that they have got yet another shot at the final and are hoping to come up trumps this time around.
