IPL 2018: Good news for the KKR camp, fit again Chris Lynn hits the nets
Lynn faced the likes of Billy Stanlake and Ben Cutting in the nets.
The IPL 2018 is all set to get underway. The countdown has begun and the teams have started gearing up for the showdown. The Kolkata Knight Riders camp have received a big boost ahead of the tournament with their star player hitting the nets before the season. Hard hitting Australian batsman, Chris Lynn, is expected to be fit for the tournament.
Earlier, Lynn had injured himself prior to the commencement of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year. Chris Lynn has been a perennial candidate for the injuries. When he injured himself before the PSL, many had speculated that he might not recover in time to make it to the IPL as well. However, Lynn was optimistic about his chances of being fit for the IPL 2018.
“I’m disappointed to not go to the Pakistan Super League as planned (this week), but I’ll now focus on rehabilitation and working as hard as I can, with the hope to still take part in the Indian Premier League later this year,” Chris Lynn had tweeted after he suffered an injury in the lead up to the PSL.
Now, as the things stand out, the Kolkata Knight Riders are expecting both Chris Lynn and Andre Russell to be fit for their season opener. KKR will be playing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8 in their first game. The KKR owner, Venky Mysore, sounded optimistic about the same.
“We are expecting Lynn and Russell to play on April 8. They will join the camp,” an optimistic KKR owner quoted.
Furthermore, the official social media handle of the KKR shared a video in which Chris Lynn is seen hitting the nets ahead of the IPL. They captioned the video, “Does that swing of the bat look familiar, #KnightRiders?” Lynn faced the likes of Billy Stanlake and Ben Cutting in the nets.
