IPL 2018: Krunal Pandya takes utmost care of his injured brother Hardik after the match
Hardik won the hearts with his exceptional performance on the day.
The opening encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was heart-breaking for Mumbai Indians as they lost the game to Chennai Super Kings by just 1 wicket. They bossed the game throughout only to defied by Dwayne Bravo in the dying stages who just won the game for the Men in Yellow from the jaws of defeat. Though it was the performance from Hardik Pandya which won the hearts of the fans as he played the game despite being injured in the middle of the match.
Hardik was hit on his right ankle by a yorker delivery from Bravo while batting. Unfortunately, the same ankle was twisted in the final over of the same bowler as the all-rounder collided with him while taking the second run only to be laid on the ground in the agony of the pain. The strong cricketer though was soon seen on the field for his team delivering the fourth over of the innings limping on his follow through.
Worried elder brother
While Hardik Pandya bowling in pain won the hearts, his performance with the ball was fantastic and went to pick the wickets of Suresh Raina, Shane Watson and Mark Wood. Also, he conceded only 24 runs in 4 overs to keep his team ahead of the game. While the match was lost, the fitness of Hardik is under the scanner now. However, his elder brother Krunal Pandya is taking the utmost care of him during the tough times.
Hardik himself updated a picture in his Instagram story in which he was seen sitting with Hardik taking care of his injured ankle. He captioned the image with the caption which read, “Brother is always taking good care! A bond which god made.” The Pandya brothers are key members of MI set up and the team would be hoping that the younger one gets fit for their next match in time.
