IPL 2018: List of New Zealand players and their base price for the auctions

Here is the complete list of New Zealand cricketers and their respective base prices for the upcoming IPL auctions.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 is expected to be an incredible and spectacular extravaganza for all the thousands of fans witnessing the event live in the different stadiums and all the rest millions of fans enjoying the experience on their television sets. The initial onset of the league is expected to begin with the big auctions set to take place on the January 27 and 28 in Bengaluru.

A total of 578 cricketers across different countries will go under the hammer in order to attract some huge bids. All the players have already listed their base price and would be looking forward to being picked up at the auction.

Top Kiwi Players in line to be part of IPL 2018

The immensely talented cricketers from New Zealand have always added their sparks in the entire ten-year history of the IPL. This year many of the Kiwi players will be up for grabs with a hope of gaining some definite proposals. A total of 24 Kiwi cricketers would be taking part in the upcoming auctions, which includes the experienced players as well as some of the new talents who would be wanting to showcase their talent at this stage.

Kiwis who might make it big at the auction

Kane Williamson: The New Zealand skipper has represented the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous edition of the IPL and the franchise will have the chance to retain him in the auction through the Right To Match (RTM) option. He has featured in 15 games for the Sunrisers totalling 411 runs at a strike rate of almost 130. The experienced Kiwi batsman has the ability to occupy the crease for the entire twenty overs and also keep the scoreboard running nicely and can be a topmost candidate to be appointed as the captain of any IPL franchise.

Trent Boult: With his handful of variations and the T20 experience generated over the years, Boult can prove to be the real match-winner for any team with his bowling in IPL 2018. He has played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in the past editions and will be eyeing some attractive proposals in the auctions. The left-arm fast bowler has been very impressive by picking 15 wickets in 14 games played in the exciting contests.

Mitchell McClenaghan: McClenaghan has a huge knowledge of the shortest format of the game after playing for the different teams across the T20 leagues contested all around the world. He has featured in 40 games for the Mumbai Indians and has claimed 54 wickets at an economy of 8.61. The Kiwi fast bowler decided to withdraw his name from the national team in order to play T20 cricket across different nations. Mumbai Indians will also have the RTM option to retain him in the auction.

Other Options

Some of the other Kiwi cricketers would also be up for grabs at the auction table which includes the likes of power hitters like Colin Munro, Corey Anderson, Martin Guptill and many other specialist players would be welcomed.Big-hitting opener Colin Munro is also expected to be a star player at the auctions as he recently became the only player to score three centuries in the history of T20 international cricket. Some of the fresh faces will also be looking forward in the hope of being picked up by an IPL franchise in the upcoming auctions.
