IPL 2018: Mumbai Indians & Delhi Daredevils had it equal before MI won both 2017 encounters
The Delhi Daredevils have gotten off to a rather indifferent start this season.
Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Delhi Daredevils (DD) in their second home game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 on Saturday, April 14. They lost their opening game closely against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last Saturday. Led by Gautam Gambhir, the home lad who returned to the side as the captain this year, DD also did not a good start to the tournament, losing their first game to Kings XI Punjab by 6 wickets.
MI, however, have a far superior record in the mega tournament with three titles won in the last five years. DD, on the other hand, made the knockout stage last time in 2012 and are yet to make the finals even once.
How have the two teams fared against each other in the IPL over the years? They have played each other 20 times since 2008 though never in the knock-out stages. The two were once tied at 9-9 before MI won both the encounters in 2017 to take the lead to 11-9. Here we take a look at the results of all MI vs DD matches in brief:
