Jofra is turning heads in the BBL and he is one of the top performers in the league. He played this season for the Hobart Hurricanes and they have already signed him for the next two seasons earlier today. He was picked in the IPL purely based on his BBL performances. Archer bowls at some great pace and also hits the right areas. He is not so easy to get away. Further, he is a lightning fast fielder. He ‘caught and bowled’ and his run-out from the deep are trending in the recent times.
Dale Steyn also recently lauded the Windies fast bowler. He said that Jofra will be the next big thing in cricket. Steyn has played alongside Jofra for Sussex earlier. In 35 T20 matches he played thus far, he has taken 44 wickets. He featured in 11 BBL games and picked 16 wickets with best figures of 3-4. With all the homework RR has done, Jofra seemed to be one of their obvious choices. He was picked at 18 times his base price.
