IPL 2018: Rajasthan Royals pull one back; MI now lead 9-7
Here is the list of the matches the two sides have played since 2008 till 2015 after which RR served a two-year suspension and their results in brief.
After getting thrashed by Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, the super expensive Rajasthan Royals (RR) team needed to get them back on the winning track and they delivered just what the doctor ordered on Sunday, April 22, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Powered by yet another gem of an innings by Sanju Samson, RR beat the defenders by 3 wickets to pick their third win. Rohit Sharma’s boys, who got their act together against Royal Challengers Bangalore the other night, floundered again and they now languish at the bottom half of the table with just a solitary win in five games.
Overall, however, MI have a lead against RR in the Indian Premier League as they have won 9 out of 17 matches while RR have won 7 with one match getting washed out in the 2009 edition.
