IPL 2018: RCB to pick Junior Dala? These pictures suggest so
Dala impressed everyone in his debut series.
The Men in Blue reigned supreme in the recently concluded three-match T20I series against South Africa. Though the hosts had rested their gun players, the young players of the country played extremely well and fought gamely against the well-equipped Indian side. But experience prevailed with the visitors sealing the series by 2-1 as Proteas found some of the new heroes during their injury-ridden limited-overs leg of the tour. However, Junior Dala was one of them who was the Man of the Series for South Africa with the way he performed in all the three matches.
Junior Dala made his debut in this series itself and impressed everyone in no time. He was the joint highest wicket-taker of the series along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and finished with 7 wickets. He troubled the Indian batsmen with his pace and also went to scalp the Indian skipper Virat Kohli cheaply in the second T20 International. Moreover, he was the nemesis for the opener, Rohit Sharma, as he was sent back in all the matches by Dala. The way he played during the series proved that he is ready to play at the highest level.
Kohli seen discussing with Dala
The third T20I was no less than a thriller which India won just by 7 runs. However, the most talking point after the match was Virat Kohli discussing with Junior Dala for a long time. When the Indian captain came down from the dressing room to shake the hands with the opposition, he was involved in a lengthy discussion with the young bowler which has now pooped up the possibility of RCB signing Dala for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The pictures of him speaking to the youngster are going viral all over and the possibility of Dala playing in the IPL cannot be entirely denied. It would be interesting if RCB signs him in case of an injury to any of their players ahead of the eleventh edition of the cash-rich tournament.
