IPL 2018: Suresh Raina grateful for fans' supports

Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) supporters are regarded among the most ardent in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Fans draped in Yellow have filled the stands across every venue. The franchise played one match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, but their home games were moved to the MCA Stadium in Pune. The Cauvery Water Dispute (CWD) in Chennai forced the authorities to move their home venue.

However, that didn’t fizzle the spirits out of the CSK supporters. The franchise arranged an entire train for them to Pune by the name of the WhistlePodu Express. The fans were also given complimentary tickets, free accommodation and food. The team didn’t disappoint them as Chennai thumped the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the first match at their adopted home ground.

MS Dhoni and Co stamps their authority

They were clinical throughout the chunk of the 2018 IPL. MS Dhoni led the team with authority and hardly allowed other teams to get a lid over them. At the end of the round-robin phase, they lost a few matches, but their stupendous start to the event meant that they were able to stay put in their position among the top two teams after 14 matches.

In the playoffs, they came on to their own and thumped the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a cliffhanger at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The teams again met at the same venue for the Grand Finale and Shane Watson’s masterclass guided CSK to glory pretty comprehensively. Suresh Raina, who wasn’t quite at his stupendous best in the event, was awestruck by the support.

He took to Twitter and posted a couple of pictures along with spouse Priyanka, daughter Gracia and a CSK fan, coloured in Yellow. He captioned the photos with a message which read as
