IPL 2018: Suresh Raina posts a picture of the "New BFFs in town"
Raina is currently being accompanied by his wife and daughter and same is the case with MS Dhoni.
One of the legends of the Indian Premier League, Suresh Raina’s consistency in the cash-rich league is one of the stories of the last decade. This season, with Chennai Super Kings making an incredible comeback in the IPL, the fans are expecting them to win their third title and get on level terms with arch-rivals Mumbai Indians.
Suresh Raina needs to play a crucial role if that should happen and thus far, he has had a below par season. Raina missed just one game for CSK in their existence in the league for 9 seasons. He clearly is a pivotal member of the side and needs to be amongst the runs as soon as possible to ensure their top order can get more dangerous.
Raina is currently being accompanied by his wife and daughter and same is the case with MS Dhoni. Suresh Raina, after the game between CSK and RCB, posted a picture of Ziva Dhoni and Gracia Raina, who was spotted playing with their tablets. His tweet quoted “The new BFF in town!! Gracia and Ziva. Currently busy looking at last night’s match highlights on their tablets.”
Dhoni and Rayudu steer their side home
Chennai registered a mind-boggling win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. No one expected Chennai to win after they were reduced to 74/4 in 9 overs, but Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu stitched a 101-run stand for the 5th wicket to help them chase a humongous 206-run target.
Batting first, AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock smashed the fifties and RCB looked well on course for a total in excess of 220. But quick wickets stemmed the run flow and despite Mandeep Singh’s heroics in the last two overs, they could only manage 205 runs.
Their bowlers managed to give RCB a good start, but Rayudu’s 53-ball 82 and MS Dhoni’s 34-ball 70 helped them chase the total with two balls remaining. Virat Kohli was also fined with Rs. 12 Lakh for slow over-rate, adding to the increasing woes of his contingent.
