Liton Das, the Bangladesh top order batsman, averages a paltry 21.65 and 18.80 in limited-overs international cricket. But his recent form has been phenomenal, to say the least. He made a comeback to the ODI team in the Asia Cup and scored a sparkling century in the final against India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, though he flattered to deceive in the initial phase of the tournament.

A few days later, he scored the fastest double century off 140 balls in Bangladesh’s domestic cricket, representing Rangpur in their match against Rajshahi. Recently, he scored 83 runs against Zimbabwe in Chottogram. The breezy knocks have now made him one of the hottest buys in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In our article, we take a look at three teams who can pick him.

The Virat Kohli-captained franchise has recently let go South African wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock to Mumbai Indians. Hence Liton’s inclusion can be a useful one for them as he is one of the most explosive batsmen doing the rounds in international cricket. He also possesses the ability to take advantage of the short boundaries at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Albeit the Challengers have Parthiv Patel as another keeper, it is always beneficial for a team to have a backup player in the same area of expertise. Moreover, like de Kock, the right-handed batsman has a fair amount of experience, opening the batting for his national team and hence, can add value to the side, which is yet to win a single edition of the T20 event.
