IPL 2019: 5 uncapped players franchises should not have released
The IPL franchises submitted the set of retained and released players a couple of weeks ago but their decisions with these players might have been flawed.
2. Sarfaraz Khan (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Sarfaraz Khan has been in the news since his early teenage days when he registered a mammoth knock at the school level and went on to represent India in U19 cricket. He was roped into Royal Challengers Bangalore with a hope that he will make huge inroads towards International cricket and help the franchise complete its title drought, but as it turned out, there was a promise, but no consistency.
Nevertheless, it can also be pointed that he didn’t get the required number of chances to prove himself as a top-order prodigy. He played some sensational knocks for RCB but was released by the franchise just one year after he was retained for Rs. 1.75 crore. There is a good chance that the side might retain his services from the auction given he comes at a cheaper price.
