The best since 2017: Since the start of 2017, Rishabh Pant has scored 1,386 runs from 39 innings in the IPL; the most by any player in this period. He went past Shikhar Dhawan (1,377), who scored a quick-fire 54, in this game. Pant has hit 77 maximums in the last three seasons which are also the most by any player. However, Dhawan leads Pant in fours as the opening batsman hit 162 fours while the keeper-batsman hit 125 boundary fours. Dhawan’s fastest: Shikhar Dhawan brought up his fifty in only 25 balls during this game, the fewest he needed for any of his previous 35 fifties in the IPL. Dhawan’s previous fastest IPL fifty came off 28 balls in the 2016 season against KKR in Kolkata. The 50-run mark came in less than 30 deliveries on only two instances in Dhawan’s 36 fifties in the IPL.
