IPL 2019: Match 41, CSK vs SRH, Preview: Litmus test for orange outfits to face yellow brigade at Chepauk
For Chennai Super Kings, Harbhajan Singh will make a comeback in place of Shardul Thakur.
You can’t simply take your eyes off when MS Dhoni is batting and no wonder it happens with David Warner too. Of late, the tales of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings have been in contrast. While Sunrisers are crushing opponents coming their way in the last two matches, Super Kings had to bite the dust in the same number of matches. Now on Tuesday, Sunrisers will take on Super Kings at MA Chidambaram in Chennai. One advantage for Super Kings will be the cricket-mad home fans as the Men in Yellow will play at home after four away matches.
Hyderabad have played three away matches of nine in which they lost two and won one. On the flip side, CSK have been kings in their realm as they won all the matches played at home. So that way, CSK have an edge. With the 37-year-old CSK skipper at his prime, it would be a threat for the visitors. On top of that, CSK were already beaten by SRH in Hyderabad. Will the Men in Yellow overshadow the Orange Army this time?
Team Combinations
Chennai Super Kings
Faf du Plessis has been outstanding at MAC in their two wins, the opener displayed steel nerves to put up dominating performances. Considering the fact that Chepauk will be a spin pitch, Dhoni will bring in Harbhajan Singh for Shardul Thakur. The veteran offie proved to be a wrecker in chief in a couple of matches. He snared seven wickets in only four matches and Dhoni utilizes the tormentor mainly at Chepauk.
Probable XI: Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (C & wk), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Harbhajan Singh, Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad will go unchanged and Williamson wouldn’t want to tinker with the order given the form his team has been in. This will be the last match of the season for the centurion Jonny Bairstow. The wicketkeeper-batsman will be leaving for England after this match to be a part of England team’s World Cup camp. Also the three-dimensional player, Vijay Shankar was outstanding in the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rashid and Shahbaz might click at Chepauk. So, SRH is good to go.
Probable XI: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson (c), Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed.

Toss Update: CSK won the toss and opted to bowl
Focus will be on
Chennai Super Kings: Ambati Rayudu
Ambati Rayudu was the one player on Sunday, who handled pressure with maturity. His 29 runs were very crucial in that situation as the top order was dismantled by the RCB pacers. Rayudu will be an asset when he handles the no. 4 spot with maturity. But, at home Rayudu is expected to keep the scoreboard ticking and to hold the top order and middle order together. If he stays there till the end, the 33-year-old can create wonders with his bat.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner
Warner has a special place in the minds of all SRH fans. By far, Sunrisers have been heavily dependent on the Australian. In all the matches SRH won, Warner was the star attraction and powered them with his belligerent innings. Again a lot depends upon him at Chepauk. For Warner and Bairstow racked up 100-plus-run opening partnerships, in most games for SRH so far.
