IPL 2019 – Match 45: Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – SRH Predicted Playing XI
SRH will have to make a few forced changes for the upcoming game.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have placed themselves on a cliffhanger at the moment in this edition’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Every game from here on is crucial for them if they are to stay in the playoffs race. Ideally, the team has got four games left and wouldn’t want to depend on the results of the other games. For this to happen, they will have to write their own fortunes.
At least three games are to be won out of these four so that the NRR doesn’t come into the picture. With Jonny Bairstow not present for the remainder of the season, a lot has to be done to reconfigure the balance of the team. For the upcoming engagement against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, one could expect quite a few changes in the eleven of the visitors.
Here is the Predicted Playing XI for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):
Openers (David Warner, Kane Williamson (C))
The responsibilities of David Warner will increase manifold for the next two games. He will be playing his penultimate match this year and must make an impact before he leaves. Since he will be without his regular opening partner Jonny Bairstow, Warner needs to bat deep and look to score big.
Kane Williamson, who lost his grandmother a few days back, will be back in this game. The Kiwi cricketer will be back at the opening spot – a position where he has found immense success last year. The skipper hasn’t done much this season with the bat and hasn’t been a regular part of the eleven. But now, he will have a bigger role to fulfil.
Middle Order (Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Wriddhiman Saha (wk))
He left the fans absolutely perplexed with his ability in the last game. They were all wondering why this Manish Pandey never came out to bat in the last two seasons. He was a dream to watch and played some of the classiest strokes. The right-hander seemed to have left all the burden and pressure behind to play some exceptional cricket. The management will have their fingers crossed in a hope that he continues to play this way for the rest of the season.
Vijay Shankar will bat at number four and might be asked to bowl a few overs as well if required. Yusuf Pathan could find an edge over Deepak Hooda and might retain his spot in the eleven. Leaving Hooda out might be a forced change. SRH has got no option but to rope Wriddhiman Saha in as they are short of a keeper in the eleven in the absence of Bairstow.
All Rounders (Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan)
Mohammad Nabi might get consideration for the next match instead of Shakib Al Hasan. Keeping their overseas options in mind, SRH had to bench him in the last few matches. But whenever he got an opportunity, he’s performed brilliantly for the team. The long boundaries in Jaipur will assist his style of play.
Rashid Khan will be the other all-rounder in the side. He had a rare off-day against the Chennai Super Kings in the last encounter. Shane Watson took him to the cleaners and picked his variations really well. However, he is a fighter and will not let this bad performance affect him. Rashid will look to come out with a much better performance in the upcoming encounter.
Bowlers (Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed)
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the best bowler for SRH in the last game. He was the one who dismissed Shane Watson on 96 and conceded just 18 runs in his four overs. Now that he won’t have the captaincy burden, the fast bowler can express himself better without worrying much about the bowling changes and field adjustments.
Sandeep Sharma was hit all around the park in the previous encounter. However, SRH doesn’t often tweak around with the bowling attack. He will continue to feature in the eleven and will share duties with Khaleel Ahmed. The left-arm pacer has impressed ever since he made it into the eleven.
