IPL 2019: Match 55, KXIP vs CSK – Weather forecast | Hourly temperature and chances of rain
While there will be cloud coverage of around 31% throughout the game, there is no prediction of rain so far.
An inconsequential game that too on the last day of the league phase is very unusual but the game between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be one such contest. While the Super Kings have all but sealed their place in the top-two of the points table, the Kings XI will be looking to avoid a last-place finish.
The campaign for both the teams has panned out in pretty much the way it did last year. Just like the last year, they made a strong start to their season before one’s campaign fell off the track. Defending champions Super Kings have not looked back since the seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers in their tournament-opener while Kings XI are left to ponder just where did things go wrong for the second year in a row.
For the Super Kings, only a very big defeat will see them in danger of losing out on the top-two of the points table. A close loss will very much keep them in the top two while a win will see them enter the playoffs as the top-ranked side. With the momentum in their side, the MS Dhoni-led side will be confident of seeing off KXIP today. The likes of Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav will be also looking to get back to form ahead of the all-important phase of the competition.
Kings XI, on the other hand, will be desperate to give their home crowd something to cheer about. Beating the table-toppers and the defending champions will definitely bring a smile on the fans. The win will also see KXIP avoid the wooden spoon.
How’s the weather expected to be:
Kings XI Punjab will have a chance to sign off from the competition on a winning note as the weather report is unlikely to play spoilsport. While there will be cloud coverage of around 31% throughout the game, there is no prediction of rain as per AccuWeather. The humidity and dew are also unlikely to be important factors in determining the outcome of the match. As far as temperature is concerned, it will be around 32-degree Celsius at the start of the game but will decrease to 20s.
