IPL 2019: The best XI of released players
These released players can form a strong XI all by themselves and give some tough competition to some of the best teams.
4. JP Duminy
JP Duminy had a forgetful IPL 2018 with the Mumbai Indians and hence was released. He just managed to score 36 runs in 6 games with a high score of 23. Duminy, despite all the experience in his bag, didn’t just fit into his role of being a finisher in the side and was dropped from the XI in the later stages of the tournament.
However, JPD can be a very dangerous player if he bats and three or four and gets to spend some time out in the middle. He plucks out the open areas in the field well and can also hit them over the ropes. He bowls in the powerplay and contains the batsmen for runs which is another advantage of having him in the side.
