Virat Kohli has found great success opening the innings for RCB and will do the same in this XI. Kohli and Warner right at the top is a deadly combo and he can also take a while to get his eye in. He has been an absolute beast in the league in the last three years and is the second-highest run scorer in the history of IPL.

With 4,948 runs in 163 games, Kohli can bat throughout the 20 overs and put his team is a very commanding position. His strike rate has improved drastically in the last few years and is capable of clearing the rope with ease given his class. He will continue to lead RCB in IPL 12 and there can’t be a better retention than the legend himself.
