IPL 2020: 3 must pick players in your Dream11 team for RR vs CSK game

Rajasthan Royals (RR) are up against a formidable foe in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) who have the wood over them in the last few seasons. While CSK is coming off the back of a fantastic win against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the season opener, the Royals will be playing their first game of the season.

Rajasthan is sorely going to miss the services of Ben Stokes who is in New Zealand due to personal reasons and is likely to miss atleast half IPL and Jos Buttler in this game due to quarantine rules. Chennai too are without Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh but their performance in the first game would have surely given their captain MS Dhoni a lot of confidence.

The Australian stalwart, Steve Smith had a decent IPL last year with 319 runs in 12 innings and is expected to perform even better this season. His game will suit the pitch of Sharjah which will host its first match of the season.  Sharjah has seen 140-160 ranging scores in the last few years in T20s and in the absence of Jos Butler, Smith is bound to step up with the additional responsibility on his shoulders.

Faf du Plessis (9 credits)

Faf du Plessis played a commendable innings in the season opener as his 54* rescued Chennai Super Kings from a precarious situation. CSK was in a spot of bother being  6-2 chasing 163. However, Faf played a sensible innings with Rayudu to guide CSK home safely. Faf is the perfect player for CSK in conditions of UAE coming in at 3, he can put his head down and act as the perfect anchor. He is in good form and expect him to come good again.

Shreyas Gopal (8.5 points)

Shreyas Gopal was in phenomenal form last year picking up 20 wickets and grabbing big wickets of Virat Kohli and de Villiers. He is a crafty leg spinner and knows how to deceive the batsmen with his flight. Rajasthan also released Krishnappa Gowtham this year and hence, Shreyas Gopal will have a greater role to play down the order as well and could come good in both departments.
