IPL 2020: 3 Players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for RR vs CSK game
Confused over which player to leave out from your Fantasy team? Have a look.
Rajasthan Royals take on 3-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings at Sharjah which will be hosting its first game of the season. While Rajasthan will be looking to make a winning start, MS Dhoni-led CSK come into the match with a lot of momentum after winning the season opener against defending champions Mumbai Indians.
Rajasthan have built their team around a core of four brilliant overseas players and unfortunately, two of them, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler are unavailable for this game. It will be interesting to see how the relatively inexperienced but very talented Indian core of Rajasthan Royals steps up. On the other hand, while CSK won their first game, there are a few chinks in their armour they would like iron out.
Here are 3 players who could be excluded from your Dream11 Fantasy team:
1. Shane Watson (9.5 credits)
Shane Watson had quite an interesting year with CSK last year. While he performed stupendously in the playoffs, he struggled quite a bit in the group stages. In the last game as well, he looked out of sorts and and was dismissed for just 4. He has been out of the game longer than most others since his international retirement, and with him not contributing with the ball as well, he doesn’t bring much value to your team just yet.
2. Robin Uthappa (9 credits)
While the Karnataka batsman has been very consistent in the IPL over the years, he had a poor last season and seemed to have lost his touch. He was let go by Kolkata Knight Riders for whom he played for 4 years. Uthappa may or may not play the first game. And even if he does, with the way the pitches have behaved till now in UAE, assisting the pacers early on and spinners in the latter stages of the game, it would be advisable to not go for Uthappa for this match.
3. Deepak Chahar (8.5 credits)
Deepak Chahar was one of the top performers last year for CSK. However, he didn’t have the best of starts to the IPL this time around. While his figures of 2/32 may not seem to be problematic, one of his wickets was a tailender and it was quite evident in the game that Chahar was unable to extract the swing he is known for.
Pacers of other teams have been able to do a much better job. It might be a tricky option to leave out Chahar but till the time he doesn’t display his ability to swing the ball in the UAE, he shouldn’t be persisted with.
