IPL 2020: 4 players RCB could have bought instead of Kane Richardson
Kane Richardson, who has already played for the Royal Challengers did not have a memorable stint managing just four appearances in which he recorded an economy of 9.71.
3. Ben Dwarshuis
Despite being a part of King XI Punjab franchise during 2018 IPL, Ben Dwarshuis did not get an opportunity to don the jersey throughout season eleven for the Mohali-based outfit. The left-arm fast-medium bowler who has 61 T20 wickets to his name has been quite impressive in the Big Bash League over the past few seasons.
The 25-year-old was one of the vital cogs in Sydney Sixers’ 2019-20 BBL title-winning squad finishing the season as his side’s second-highest wicket-taker with 16 wickets to his name. The Kareela-born speedster has proved his bowling credentials in the Big Bash League on several occasions representing the Sydney Sixers since 2014 and has been the team’s go-to bowler in death overs.
Given his ability to torment the batsmen with his extra pace from left-arm angle, accuracy, pace variations and scorching yorkers, the death-bowling specialist would have been a valuable asset for the Royal Challengers who despite possessing Chris Morris, Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana need an out-and-out, proven, wicket-taking overseas death bowler.
