IPL 2020: 5 Players who were a flop this season
There were a lot of expectations from these five players. But they never clicked in IPL 2020.
2. Glenn Maxwell (KXIP)
Another player whose performance was dismal this season was Glenn Maxwell. When the Aussie gets going, he is unstoppable, and his ability to take the attack to the opposition marks him out as a potent weapon in the armoury of his side.
But then, Maxwell let his side down this season. The Punjab outfit gave him numerous chances, hoping that he would rediscover his lost mojo as the tournament progressed, but the Aussie failed to get going. In the 11 innings that he played this season, Maxwell could muster just 108 runs, and averaged an abysmal 15.43 in the UAE this year. His strike rate too, was a below par 101.89 this season.
In fact, in the entire season, Maxwell crossed the 30-run mark just once and looked totally out of sorts. The Punjab side had shelled out a staggering 10.75 Crores for Maxwell, but the Aussie couldn’t justify his price tag.
