IPL 2020: 5 stars who have played least number of games since last season
The action-packed tournament will also see several of the cricketers return to their comfort zone. It will be a kind of new start for some of them, as they have not been playing the game for a long time.
1. Mohit Sharma – 0 games
When India reached the semi-finals in the 2015 World Cup, everybody started praising the team’s pace attack. One of the members of that group was Mohit Sharma. At the time, the Haryana pacer made a name for himself with his skilful bowling. However, it all started for him in the IPL from where his cricketing journey took its flight.
Sharma spent his first few years with the Chennai Super Kings. There he became the trusted ally of their fast-bowling unit, and in the second IPL season itself, he won the Purple Cap. Thereafter, in 2016, he switched to the Punjab team and led the charges of their bowling attack for 3 years. Fast forward to IPL 2020, now he will be seen in the dressing room of Delhi Capitals.
There is no doubt Mohit is a versatile pacer and that’s why Delhi bagged him in the auctions. But they have done it without considering any factors. For instance, the pacer last played a cricket game way back in April 2019. And its in the 2019 IPL where he represented Chennai in the only game of his season. In short, its been over 16 months since Mohit bowled a ball in any sort of a competitive cricket match.
