IPL 2020: After Suresh Raina's departure, Kedar Jadhav comes up with a cryptic tweet
The tweet seemed to be related to Raina’s departure from the IPL, though reality can be far from it.
Kedar Jadhav has been a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the last couple of seasons. In 2018, he started with a match-winning cameo against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, he was thereafter, ruled out of the tournament due to injury. In 2019, Jadhav didn’t quite live up to the expectations, batting lower down the order.
However, he is determined to perform well in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) to be played in the UAE. The CSK has found themselves in trouble after a number of their members, including Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaekwad, were tested positive for the ungodly COVID-19 virus. Hence, the Super Kings’ quarantine period has been extended until September 6.
Despite not getting on the park, Jadhav has been training indoors, trying to stay upbeat before the T20 event starts on September 19. He uploaded a video where he can be seen, doing some weight-lifting. He captioned the video and wrote, “On the path of excellence – you find 1000 excuses to let go, but only 1 reason to hold on. The choice is YOURS !”
Here’s Kedar Jadhav’s tweet: –
The tweet seemed to be related to Suresh Raina’s departure from the IPL, though reality can be far from it. On August 29, the left-hander decided to pull out of the league. Reports have emerged surrounding the reasons behind it, but nothing concrete has come to the fore.
From the post, it can be identified that Jadhav doesn’t believe in giving excuses and wishes to hustle his way to success. There are also reports of Raina’s rift with MS Dhoni, the skipper of the Super Kings. Former BCCI president N Srinivasan has said that Raina’s departure has left the CSK in shock.
“Cricketers are like prima donnas … like the temperamental actors of the olden days. Chennai Super Kings have always been like a family and all seniors players have learnt to co-exist,” Srinivasan said.
“My thinking is that if you are reluctant or not happy, go back. I don’t force anyone to do anything … sometimes success gets into your head,” the 75-year-old added.
