IPL 2020: Match 11, DC vs SRH – Match Impact Ratings

The Sunrisers Hyderabad, of late, have been quite poor with the new ball and also at the death overs failing to nail the yorkers. But everything fell in place during the game against Delhi Capitals where Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Thangarasu Natarajan’s performance with the ball backed a Rashid Khan special. It won’t be a surprise for anyone to find Rashid with highest match impact rating as per CricTracker’s model. It was Rashid’s player of the match performance that led SRH to their 1st win of this IPL.

Rashid Khan gave away only 14 runs and picked three wickets; all of the active Indian Internationals. The Afghanistan spinner’s effort earned a rating of 14.13 even without utilising his ability to swing a couple of them with the bat. Bhuvneshwar and Natarajan’s efforts were quite crucial too which helped them to earn a rating of 9.66 and 5.94 respectively. However, in the whole match, it was Kagiso Rabada’s performance that earned the highest match impact rating.

Rabada was pretty good at the death and also claimed the wickets of Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson. His bowling earned an impact rating of 8.66 while his batting earned an impact of 7.48 as he smashed a six and four during his 7-ball innings. The best impact rating with the bat went to the comeback man Williamson who produced a clinical effort scoring 41 off 26 balls with the help of five fours. Williamson earned an impact rating of 9.12 for his effort in the middle-order.

The Abu Dhabi pitch was a struggle for many batsmen due to the slowness of it. Bairstow, known to dominate bowling attacks, scored just 53 from 48 balls he faced. His knock, as a result, earned a negative impact of -3.20. The Delhi Capitals’ top three can be held responsible for the defeat who collectively scored 53 from 57 deliveries. The DC skipper Shreyas Iyer struggled during his 21-ball 17 which got a negative impact rating of -8.18, easily the lowest in the whole match.
