Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) brilliantly started their campaign in IPL 2020. They won 5 out of their seven matches and their team looked quite balanced. However, the next match was against KXIP and the red army looked completely out of touch. They made several questionable decisions and the things looked complicated all of a sudden.

With five wins in eight games, RCB is still well ahead in the race for playoffs but they need to manage their resources better. As the next game is in Dubai, RCB might tinker their playing eleven considering the slow pitch and larger ground than Sharjah. However, as they have finally found an ideal composition, captain. Virat Kohli might continue with the same combination.

Here is the predicted XI of RCB for Match 33, RR vs RCB:-

Openers (Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal)

Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal started their tournament with few amazing knocks and they looked quite comfortable together. However, in the last few games, none of the openers has stayed until long to provide a platform to others. RCB management would be hoping for them to take responsibility as if they consume deliveries at the top, they should score a big knock.

Middle Order (Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers (WK) and Shivam Dube)

Virat Kohli is their leading run-scorer and after a few dismal outings, in the initial games, he has been top form. However, RCB would want their skipper to play more freely as his strike rate has been under scrutiny. AB de Villiers is expected to get back to his number 4 position after he was surprisingly demoted to number 6 in the previous match. Shivam Dube will play the role of a power hitter and he can be utilized to counter RR’s leg spinners.

All-rounders (Washington Sundar and Chris Morris)

Washington Sundar was promoted up the order in the last game and RCB are looking quite confident of his batting credentials. However, his prime role is to bowl with a decent economy in the powerplay. Chris Morris has been a very effective bowler for RCB, with 5 wickets in three games and a decent economy he is one of the most valuable bowlers for the franchise. Also as he batted extremely well at the death, he might be promoted as a pinch hitter if needed.

Bowlers (Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, and Mohammad Siraj)

Isuru Udana and Navdeep Saini will don the role of death bowlers along with Chris Morris. After his dismal outing in the last match, Mohammad Siraj might only bowl in the middle overs to give him some protection. The way Virat Kohli used their leading wicket-taker and Trump card, Yuzvendra Chahal was criticized and we might see him bowl early on yet again.
